Sounds like the most logical thing to do would be to hold the clutch in while stopped and leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you for that unforeseen "losing of pressure/cable breaking." I too, do "not" hold the clutch while stopped because of pain in my hands (they only measure 6" from bottom of my palm to the tip of middle finger...a side effect of being vertically challenged, I'm sure), but am forced to hold the brake because of the terrain. I've considered changing the grips on my bike to a smaller diameter but was told if I do that, I will experience greater vibration (vs. the stock grips) and still have the pain. Does anyone know different?
